Laim desease, borreliosis

Lyme disease (borelliosis)
Lyme disease is an infectious disease characterized by a wide range of symptoms: skin lesions, joints, nervous system, heart, often with a chronic, relapsing course. Borelliasis is transmitted by ticks, and the infection occurs during a bite or when the tick is crushed by hand. The incubation period is 1-2 weeks.
Symptoms
- appearance of a nodular rash at the site of the tick bite;
- after a few days, the rash becomes circular, with an outer red area that resembles a target;
- heart problems - rapid heart rhythm, blood pressure fluctuations - are added;
- conjunctivitis;
- weakness, muscle pain.
Treatment
It is important to see a doctor as soon as possible if you suspect you have Lyme disease. You should never try to treat yourself. Timely treatment leads to a speedy recovery. Therapy involves taking antibiotics as well as drugs that remove toxins from the body. In case of fever, antipyretics are prescribed. The doctor prescribes and monitors the treatment process, making adjustments if necessary. Each patient is treated individually and given detailed consultations about the treatment and prevention of Lyme disease.
