Otitis

Otitis
Otitis is an inflammation of the outer or middle ear.
The middle ear becomes inflamed because of previous rhinitis or sinusitis. Otitis externa occurs due to damage to the auditory canal, prolonged exposure to open water, reduced immunity or a history of chronic illnesses.
Symptoms of otitis
- earache;
- discharge from the ear canal;
- increase in body temperature;
- swelling in the ear area;
- pain gets worse in the evening or at night;
- hearing loss;
- ear buzzing.
Treatment of otitis
Attempts to self-treat otitis with folk remedies, unwillingness to go to the doctor, ignoring symptoms are all fraught with serious complications up to hearing loss, the development of intracranial purulent sites and even death.
Treatment should be timely, comprehensive and supervised by a doctor. Only the doctor determines which medications the patient needs in the fight against otitis: antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, or hormonal drugs. When relief is achieved during treatment, it is important not to abandon treatment, as otitis may return. Only the doctor can adjust the treatment regimen. The doctor also gives advice on the prevention of otitis once you have recovered.
